Hi Guys,
I have been thinking about this for a very long time now, and some discussions with moranor@axis suggest that there is an advantage in going for a single pipe configuration on the E46 6 Cylinder models…. I am sure the same logic can be applied to the E90….
The aim here is to retain the rear silencer to eliminate drone, and leave the stock manifolds in place to prevent sensor errors….
Now I know there are ways to prevent sensor errors with “Cat-Foolers” and such, but this is not the point of this thread, the point here is to focus on the Mid-Section only, and if later on, you want to go Branches, you can with minimal changes.
The aim of the mod – So many of us are looking for that sweet sound, not a screamer…. But something which would be virtually silent at static motorway speeds, and when you use your right foot, something that gives you a satisfying, deep rumble.
Let’s talk about this, share your views and experiences, and then to get something in production.
