I hate the force feedback on the idrive knob. Lank annoying when going through long lists of mp3s etc.
Good news is that it can be disabled by changing one line of code in the CAPPL module with NCSexpert. Loading the trace file into NCSdummy you simply change the idrive controller identifier from "high" to "low", re code the module and bam...no more kickback :-)
The controller still clicks when you turn it but no longer kicks back when you reach the end of a list.
Process should be the same for pretty much any CCC based iDrive system.
