Hi
I'm pretty out of it when it comes to hardware these days and I'm in the process of upgrading my trusty old socket 939 PC.
The plan is to get a new:
Motherboard = Asus Sabertooth 990FX
CPU = AMD FX-8320 - 8x cores
RAM = Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1866C9 , Vengeance
Graphics card = Sapphire HD7850 O.C
However, I've now seen that the motherboard I want has an 8 pin connection for the CPU power. This is something I've not seen before and it might mean that my old 600W PSU might not work which is gonna suck since it's the best PSU I've ever owned. It's out lasted all the power supplies both my brothers have used over the years.
It's an old Omega 600W of which I can't really find info online any more. Here's what I did find:
"OMEGA MEGAPOWER 600WATT MAX MODULAR CABLING ATX V2.0 POWER SUPPLY UNIT WITH 1 X BLUE LED 80MM & 1 X BLACK 80MM COOLING FANS , S-ATA CONNECTORS , PCI-E 6-PIN CONNECTORS , 20+4 PINS , DUAL RAILS +12V OUTPUT . ATX 2.0 STANDARD , PFC , AUTO FAN SPEED CONTROL , OVER LOAD PROTECTION , OVER VOLTAGE PROTECTION , SHORT CIRCUIT PROTECTION "
... and a link to someone who bought one way back:

What do I need to make this PSU work on my new Asus Sabertooth 990FX motherboard? Would a 4 pin to 8 pin adapter be fine??
Or should I just bite the bullet and buy a new PSU?? Any recommendations??
