Why mod under Motor Plan????

So I’ve just been on the forum and I’ve seen three threads straight away of members looking to modify their cars under Motorplan.

Some with brand new cars and I ask myself Why?

Please do not get me wrong, it’s their cars and their money that they are spending, so please do as you wish. But why take such a gamble?

For some on the forum money is no object. But for many having an intact Motorplan is a life saver.

Is the added power gain worth the risk while your car is under motorplan?
Why not buy a BMW out of Motorplan so that you can modify to your heart’s content?

Please note that this is not a bashing thread. I just want to understand the thinking behind it.
