Hi guys,
this morning i got a call from a colleague to assist with her 2007 Chev Captiva 2.4 petrol which was not starting. The car has full ignition lights and cranks fine but doesnt start.
My first instincts suggest either a fuel or spark issue. When i pressed the valve on the fuel rail while she was cranking, there is a spray of fuel but not significantly pressurised (to be honset, i'm not sure how much pressure it should be coming out at).
I would appreciate some insight from any members who have/had such a vehicle as well as the answers to the following:
1. How much spray should there be from the valve on the fuel rail while cranking?
2. Where is the fuel pump located?
3. Where exactly is the diagnostic plug on this vehicle located?
Thanks a lot for any assistance you can provide.
