Out of the frying pan and into the fire,

Whenever I posted here, it was always about niggles and issues with my 118i.
So after the coil packs gave up two weeks ago (replaced two at R500ea), I traded my 118i for a 2005 E90 320d (138 000km)

I got quite a good deal. 2005 118i with 151 000km on the clock, the dealer gave me R95k. (I paid R100k two years ago).

The 1 series was due for a service and license renewal so I waited and traded it in instead. (would have cost me about 4000 with brakes)
The 320d comes fully serviced and licensed! I just had to pay the R20k difference.

Picked up the 320d and the windscreen wipers weren't workingNono Took it in for them to sort out and it came back with the rear windows and central locking not working!!Cry
A few weeks before that the car wasn't starting (so they replaced the injectors). It still didn't start. Turns out there was moisture somewhere that was blowing a fuse. Once the fuse was replaced it was good to go.
At least I got new injectors!Fencelook

Engine, suspension, all 100%. Even the head mechanic at the dealership said he wanted the car really badly for his wife cos of how clean it was.

Drove it for a week. Then the prop shaft started giving me a "clunk" when shifting and a rattle when it wasn't under tension. (Most likely the guibo joint). The previous owner was a lady and she had no issues with the car!

The dealership agreed to give me a loan car in the interim while they sort all the issues out.

Will I live to regret my decision?

P.S. It goes like a bomb! I will never drive a non-turbo car again! Thumbs
