Service your car you dumb cl*nt

So I am hacked off....

I bought my wife a pristine X3 not too long ago.

Fuel consumption was heavy, and I knew the motor was not 100% happy, but figured it to be Vanos seals and dead/dying plugs.

Car barely has 100k km on it.

Was told by the dealer that the car was serviced, and I check it had new air filters in.

So bout 6k km down, I decide to serivce it again.

I knew I had crap when I opened the oil filter housing, and the sludge was thick and fast.

I decided to go buy 3 new oil filters, and I am running a really cheap oil that I was going to change every 500km twice, and then put the good stuff in.

I then installed 6 new plugs, and figured it was odd that cyl 4 had a new oil pack.

Did not solve the miss, so I went out and baught new coil packs.

Still did not solve the miss, cyl 4 is DEAD !!!!

I swapped out injectors, still dead.

Its not a valve or anything broken as the motor is quiet, it just does not sound right and is heavy on fuel, also virtually no real power, unless you are punting the crap out of it.

I suspect, with the sludge, that rings have collapsed, and 4 has no or little compression.

I dont have a compression tester that fits

Any ideas anyone ?

And all of this, cause people do not service their cars....

I have BMW's with almost 3 times the amount of km's...
