So I got an R6 engine for an amazing deal and decided to jump on it, spoke to the guy a couple times before the money was paid and eventhough I NEVER pay upfront I did this time. Guy promised to deliver on Saturday at 4, he never came phone off. He then phoned me on the same day apologetic and then promised to deliver on Sunday at 10am, it came and went and same story. He claims his drivers got stuck in a storm and at the time I believed him, he then promised he will be there first thing Moday morning at 10am. Yip you guessed it still no delivery, I went ahead and phoned my premier banker informing her to reverse the transaction but according to FNB they cannot do anyhting if the person already withdrew the money eventhough I told them the person is trying to stall and clearly for a reason and they should do the reversal ASAP. They then just went on to tell me it will take 4 days before it gets processed He called me last night telling me he promises to deliver this morning and guess what happened?
The EFT was from my FNB account to another FNB account.
I have managed to track him to a farm in onverwagt, workplace eskom and previous mathiba power station.
What do you guys suggest I do? I just feel that FNB really doesn't care, a month ago they froze all my accounts because they didn't have updated details of me on record but then a scam artist like this gets away with this? Yes I was stupid to pay upfront and have learned a valuable lesson. DON'T TRUST ANYONE
I have his cell number: it's 3 months in use
I have his landline number, his current employer, previous employer, ID number, house address ect.
