My insurance directed me to a trusted panelbeater.
Here are the steps I believe need to be taken for a touch up. Please correct me as I am still new to this.
1: Opening the door and checking the color code on the side info panel.
PANELBEATER DID NOT DO! I do not remember them opening my door. They also referrenced my car color several times as pearl white while the BMW guide sais its metallic white. If pearl + metallic white = exactly the same then so be it, but I would not bet on this since the after images show the touch up paint whiter than the body paint. After photos were taken 3 hours later.
2: Cleaning surface with Green Clean or sunlight which is apparently forgivable to do just once in a scenario like this.
ODDS ARE 90% PANELBEATER DID NOT DO! He started working on it, without me seeing what he was doing, i ran to him and told him I had waxed it 2 weeks ago, and i thought automatic procedure waxed or not was to clean the surface area first. Thats when he got up, brought some clear spray and applied very little of it, wiping over the ALREADY PLACED paint. He continued with the paint blobs.
3: Wiping/smoothing it with some sort of chemical (not sure which one yet, sorry)
PANELBEATER DID NOT DO! They instructed me to let it dry for a week then polish it. I asked them if they got polish in order to smoothen it. When paying, I asked if they sell polish, and they started showing me meguiars WAXES. I stated the obvious mix up and they said WAX would do the same thing, just rub it in. wtf?
4: Letting it dry
Well seems its dried.. Havent touched it yet since youtube videos are saying an hour, and others are saying 2-24 hours depending on temperature.. etc. At the moment im confused, afraid and abit angry.

You can see only 4 spots were filled, the last spot northwest of the second spot got ignored. Touch up paint has a different color, and on youtube videos the paint looks exactly the same color instantly. Here its been 3 hours and the touch up is whiter.
Am I being paranoid here or is something really wrong? Right now it seems this is the issue with my paint and Im not sure of the condition of the wax there, or if it is a time bomb for more contaminants to get inside..
You can see new dirt marks around the chips in the after photos, which must be from the paint brush they used.
What would have been the correct procedure here? What are the ideal products that should have been used?
