Engine Adaptions in INPA

Hey y'all ;-)

Yesterday I hooked the 6-er up to INPA to check fault codes, and I got a garden variety of problems relating to the video/TV. Will discuss those in a different thread.

I also got errors on the DME for the thermostat, evap valve and MAF. The maf was because I unplugged it earlier to see if it makes a difference to the running of the engine. Anyway, I then proceeded to dig into the DME and cleared several of the adaption values (can't name them off the top of my head) before clearing the error memory.

Started the car up and she was all grumbling and rough, but settled down after a minute or so. I took her out on the road and immediately noticed that the engine was smoother and less rough. When I got back home I hooked her up to INPA again and none of the engine codes were present again. The video/TV codes were still present.

This morning driving to work the traffic from Broadacres to Rivonia was heavier than usual, yet I stopped at the office with a fuel economy figure I have never seen before:

On average in am in the high teens to low twenties (19-22) when I stop at the office.

She idles at 500rpm but it jumps a little (like 2mm up and down), but the engine is not as rough as it used to be.
