Hi guys
It's with great sadness that I write today... After only 4 months with my new baby, I've buckled both front and rear left wheels - 19 inch sport style rims. The shitty potholes on the N2 between KZN & ECape are to blame for this. I took the car for balancing as I has a slight vibration, only to witness the awful sight of fairly badly buckled rims.
So, my question. I've been told there are a couple of wheel clinics here in CT which claim to be able to sort this out. Any ones you fanatics would trust intimately with your baby, idea of costs, and ideas on whether the fix has negative impacts? I heard somewhere that when they fix it, the need to heat the rim to straighten in, which weakens the molecular structure of the rim. Any truth to this?
Any guidance would be appreciated.
