Hi Guys
So after reading the updated Jezebel thread which mentioned subframe cracks, I decided to go and have a look at mine (2002 E46 330i).
And to my surprise (probably believed like most owners that this would not happen to me) I found a crack on the left side:
The previous owner obviously drove the car really hard.
So I would like to please know which one of the following plans of action you guys would recommend or have done:
A. Stick 'n band aid over the crack and hope the car heals itself and feels better.
B. Try to fix the crack myself.
C. Get a professional to do this.
How much did it cost to repair? Parts and labour seperately please, if possible would like to do this myself.
I could not see any other cracks at any of the other mounting points. It is pretty hard to see though without dropping the whole subframe assembly.
Your input is highly appreciated and eagerly anticipated.
PS..Luckily I didn't do the supercharge thing as this would have been salt in the wounds.
Kind Regards
