Hi Guys,
I have been thinking about this and thought it might be a good idea.
Essence of this thread is to post up the kit you have, specifically (but not limited) the glazes, sealants and waxes. Then, our detailers can advise if the products we have are good, whats needed further and what technique to use.
I will start:
Wash:
3 x wash mits - Wheels and tailpipes, bottom half of car, top half of car.
2 x buckets
Adams Car Shampoo
AutoGlym Degreaser - Wheels
Karcher k100.1
Foam Lance to be added soon
Drying:
Various drying towels, used for different parts of vehicle. I have a chamois which is used to wipe down the tyres ONLY.
Rims and Tyres:
Adams VRT
Smart Rim Wax
TailPipes:
AutoGylm Metal Polish
Now, for the glazes, sealants and waxes. I get confused so i will name what i have. Im not 100% what they are used for or what their "detailing" term is (glazes, sealants and waxes). Feel free to label them for me!
Glazes, Sealants and Waxes:
AF tripple
PoorBoys Black Hole (Still Sealed)
Adams butter Wax
Adams Detail Spray
3 x Adams plush polish removal towels
10 MF towels
Process:
Soap car with karcher soap dispenser.
Wash wheels.
Rinse car.
Wash using 2 bucket method.
Pat down the tyres using Chamois.
Wipe the wheel wells as far as i can reach with Chamois.
Apply rim wax
Apply Tail Pipe polish
Apply AF tripple by hand or machine, massaging until a light haze is seen.
Wipe off AF Tripple
Apply Adams Butter wax by hand, thin layer.
Wipe off wax
Wipe off rim and tail pipes
Apply Adams VRT to tyres
Wipe wheels
Detail spray and buff to a deep glossy shine
