Between breakfast and lunch - Roof lining replacement

So the 'part Gods' have smiled on me and managed to get a 'sportpack' E46 black roof liner and decided to fit this morning......just done and decided to post the saga =)

1) start at the bottom and remove 'seat belt retaining bolt' from the front seats

2) remove 'grab handles' (front and rear) plus sun visors' and 'map reading lights' from front of R/L

3) Remove middle 'main interior light and rear brake light trim cover

4) now start with just un-clipping the inner 'step plates front and rear, careful not to pull to hard and break the clip rail underneath!

5) Now pull gently on the bottom cover of the "B" pillar trim at the base where it meets the carpet, once the clips jump out, pull the panel towards the floor, this will let the top slides release and you can remove. You don't have to remove the front seats, you can just slide them fully forward. It's easier to do this if you also separate the door rubbers as the rubbers fit with a section over the panel (front and rear)

6) once the bottom panel has been removed, release the two 'push in clips (black ones) that holds the top part of the "B" pillar trim in place, slide the trim panel down and out, you can also remove the safety belt now fully from the same panel.....this why the securing bolt was initially removed from the seat

7) Remove the "C" pillar trim panel by again gently pulling at the top where the trim panel meets the roof lining, there's two clips and then the wire to the rear reading lights.

8) Now for the "A" pillar trim, I left this for last cause the screws are tight and situated close to the front screen glass, so careful with whatever tool you use....I used a small ratchet with a torque fitting (20) First clip the long thin cover of that says airbag and then proceed to remove the screws, they are tight so be careful that the tool does not slip and damage your screen.

>>>>>>? to be continued after lunch Fencelook

I started with the 2nd part to this DIY thread and now 'no pictures wants to load' ?? Any ideas......Fencelook
