Hi
I did an EGR bypass (or whatever) now that my car has reached 100 000km. I blocked the vacuum line. The car feels better, but I believe it may have lost a little torque. I tested it last night - hard on the accelerator and the usual puff of smoke in the car behind's headlights is gone. After driving a bit I checked the coolant temp which was at 84C. Isn't that too cold? Shouldn't it be running nearer 100C? Or is the coolant temperature less than the oil temperature / engine temperature?
I'll see how the fuel consumption is on average by about a month from now, and I'm hoping for a slight gain there.
