I am planning a trip up country in July. Leave home (Hermanus) to Worcester and then up the N1 to Beaufort West, then to Colesberg and turn away to Burgersdorp and first overnight at Aliwal North. From there it is on to Bloemfontein, Kroonstad and Kempton Park/Pretoria. Then on to Durbs via the N3. From Durbs back to Bloem via the N3 to Harrismith and onwards to Winburg and back on the N1 to Bloem. Then same route back via Aliwal North, Colesberg, B.West and home. Need to know where i can fill up with the cheapest 50ppm diesel along the way. For owners of diesel cars in the Cape area i have found that the cheapest 50ppm diesel is at the Caltex garage on the road linking Gordon's Bay with Strand. Was R12.99 before the petrol price came down, so should be about R12.75 or thereabouts.
