Just thought I would ask and share.
Who here has been directly effected by the strike in the platinum belt.
I was there today had a great trip sales wise but came back utterly depressed in cing rustenburg now and what it was like as I have been goin there for 12 years as a rep.
last month they lost in excess of 3.6 million ltrs of petrol sold (this is about 72 000 tanks of petrol (avg of 50 lt tank) Some service stations have lost over 80 000 ltrs a month.
I have clients with staff that have spouses how have not received any salaries since strike started (5 months).
Heard via sources that klerksdorp side is going on strike next week.
Had a look through the local newspaper today, the amount of houses for sale to rent is staggering.
A optimistic figure (scary) is that a minumum ov over 300 cars were reposed in rustenburg last month alone.
