I bought the 540 with relatively new Falken tyres on the M Pars almost 2 years ago.
Over the weekend when I installed the new brakes I was greeted with this pretty sight.
Look how worn out the inner edge is of the tread. And worst of all is that it doesn’t look like this around the whole circumference.
It is only for +/- 30cm of the circumference that it wore out that 1cm ‘dip’ close to the edge.
Now normally if I saw this, I would immediately declare the suspension as completely shot.
But I have replaced all of the following less than 7k ago:
Lower control arms
Upper control arms
Centre draglink
Steering Idler arm
Shocks (Gabriel Gas)
Springs (H&R)
Wheel alignment
Ever since the day I got the car, I have had endless balancing issues even though the rims are perfectly straight. They have taken off the tyres from the rims on 2 occasions and refitted/balanced without any success. It just always ended up oval when rotating on the balancing machine and subsequently had a vibration that starts @ 110 and goes away @ 140.
This is my second bad experience with Falken, the first one being this:
I therefore have to assume the tyres are plain rubbish and cant even wear down uniformly.
