My GF recently bought a 2005 Picanto and it is time to change the tyres. The original tyre size on the car is 165/60/14 which is an odd size, and therefore quite pricey.
I was looking at changing the tyre size to something more common that would still work and be cheaper. The best option seems to be a 185/60/14 tyre, much cheaper and all the tyre calculators tell me it will work.
The only issue is with rolling diameter, which is 4.1% higher. How much of an issue will this be? I know about the speedo and acceleration issues, the concern is with other systems like ABS for example.
All the web sites I have visited talk about the difference in rolling diameter between front and back, but what if you change all four tyres? Is 4% too much?
