Hi guys,
While doing a quicke inspection on my car's engine bay, I noticed there was a leak under the oil filter housing. I immediately thought it would make a nice project for me to post my first DIY here as I did not post the DIY when I replaced the rear pads on my car. I hope it will help someone out there. This is first DIY I'm posting, so please excuse me if not to your standards, the format is wrong, or (most of all) the tech language is not on par. I was also a bit lazy in taking pictures of the initial steps. So here goes...
Tools & parts needed are as follows:
1 x 8mm socket/spanner (& wrench of course)
1 x T20 torx bits/screw driver
1 x Medium size srew driver
1 x 10mm socket/spanner (A socket extension came in handy for me here)
1 x T30 torx bits/screw driver
1 x Oil filter wrench
1 x Oil filter housing profile gasket
2 x Cleaning rags
The leak in question:

- First steps for me, I disconnected the negative terminal of the car's battery (10mm). And then proceeded to remove the Microfilter housing & engine cover (8mm) on the intake mainfold side.
- Unscrew the oil filter cap, but don't remove it let the oil drain into the engine.
- Remove the air intake by unscrewing the 3 T20 torx screws in front, and pulling it off the air filter housing.
- Remove the air filter housing by unscrewing 2 10mm bolts on the right that hold the air filter housing to the car & the flathead screw that holds the clip that joins the throttle & housing via the air duct. I chose the one on the throttle side.
- Remove the throttle by unscrewing the 4 10mm bolts that hold it & disconnect the cable that clips into it (I think it's the MAF cable).

I sprayed some of this into the throttle & let it dry while I continued:

- Remove the heat exchanger by unscrewing the 4 T30 torx screws that hold it to the oil filter housing. I let it rest on the pipes going into the radiator & did not remove it completely from the car

By now most of the oil in the oil filter has been drained. Get a rag to catch any dripping oil & remove the oil filter cap with the filter intact.
- Remove the oil filter housing by unscrewing the 3 10mm bolts that hold it. The most challenging ones will be the 2 at the back, unless you have small hands like mine. And this is where you will need that socket extension.
- Remove the oil filter housing profile gasket & replace with a new one. Mine was very brittle & broke as I removed it.
Note: Will post more photos as I have trouble uploading them.
