Forum member Spiro brought his e46 M3 with 150 000km for VANOS seals. Fearing the infamous self liberation of the cam gear bolts, Spiro elected to have his replaced.

Oil accumulator drain pipe not properly secured.
Power steering fluid reservoir bracket bolt missing.
Coil pack number six was a challenge to remove because the engine was still hot.
Evidence of motorplan inaction.
Vanos unit removed.
Valve body seals in acceptable condition.
New seals installed.
A bit of cleaning before stripping the unit.
New seals installed on exhaust piston.
New seals installed on oil flow regulator and oil filter cleaned.
Bolts were replaced on inlet and exhaust gears.
