I recently got the following SMS from the traffic department and was wondering if an SMS can be considered a received fine.
"Notice posted for Cape Town traffic fine A8...... on ID.... View and pay R200 at Traffic Dept or Paycity.co.za or pay via FNB, ABSA or STD Bank. Legal process will continue even if vehicle registration address is not correct-You may not receive the fine-Next step Summons to appear in court"
Can they now do this even if I haven't received the fine with a registered letter?
