DIY - E65 - Nav disk not being read

Hey folks,

So my newly acquired E65 LCI is showing the dreaded "No disk in Nav computer" message on the iDrive. Disk spins up fine, but it is not being read.

I have ordered a replacement laser (SF-HD4 Black Cap) and will write up a DIY with picture for this tread once received.

Cost of a new DVD drive module is around R3k, whereas the laser alone is only R500.
