So with me searching the world wide web about 1M oil consumption and run in times and and and, I came across this very interesting fact. The primary cats in the down pipes are different from any other N54 and they are able to deliver much better flow than the other N54 down pipes.

So it is the mid section cats that needs to be removed on the 1M and not the primary cats in the down pipe. This must be the reason so many people use the N55 mid section. The N55 mid section has no cats. So in essence, if you fit the N55 mid section to a 1M, you should unleash some additional horses and if you add S/W like that from ACS, even more. And you will still have M/P.
