Hi Guys,
I detailed a MK4 this weekend. Pretty cool car and in very good condition to be fair. I polished the car using the RUPES DA and various pad and polish combo's. I finally managed to make use of the RUPES Keramic glossing polish for the refining stages. Lets just say i'm well impressed with this stuff. Makes the paint super smooth. Cant say iv ever felt paint as smooth as this after a machine polish.
For those who are starting off - Lighting is super important. So invest in some good lighting
The usual befores.
Did the usual snowfoam but didnt get the dilution ration quite right
This was some serious muck inbetween the windscreen and body.
Now for the nasty. The entire bonnet was covered in minor swirling but the biggest concern was the amount of Pig tails in the paintwork.. I can only imagine somebody tried polishing the paintwork with a wool mop which contained some hard pieces of polish causing some serious damage to the bonnet doors and fenders.
some pics after the initial correction phase - This was a 2 stage correction detail. was well impressed by the quality of the paint
Gloss baby!!!!
Some afters
