NEVER F*ING again!!
I hate you top screw!!
Those of you who think im getting a tourettes attack, i apologize.
No one should suffer through this DIY. I beg of you. If you are in Cape Town and want this done please give me a shout and i will spare you all the frustration and heartbreak.
The whole DIY took me almost 2 hours. It should take you about 30 min tops if you know what you are doing.
I bought the resistor from the agents (Auto Atlantic) R1440 (incl VAT).
It looks very different from stock. (Old one on the right)
I struggled to find a RHD (Right Hand Drive) DIY.
Heres a link to a pretty good one:

Like I said. If you know what you are doing its actually very easy.
If you are in CPT i will gladly help out.
Cheers
SYMPTOMS: The display on your aircon works perfectly but your aircon does not respond when you adjust the settings, ie, when you press the button to defog your windscreen nothing happens but your display shows that your aircon should blow on its maximum setting.
Further symptoms include: the aircon has a mind of its own. When you are parked or waiting at a robot you can hear the aircon turn up and then down again all on its own.
