E90 Pre LCI to LCI Kidney grills

Sup all,

I guess this has all ready been discussed, but seriously I can not find a post for the info I am looking for.

Some guys do the full LCI conversion, but I do not want to, I like the look of the more aggressive pre LCI, but I hate the Kidney Grills & I need new headlights with Angel Eyes.

So my question is, the grills, can they just be swapped? Or do I need the new bonnet?
Any links/DIY/Info would be appreciated.
