Hey there guys,
Anyone know of this action regarding the Toll roads. I remember seeing something on those light pole this morning
The Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU) announced that they plan to shut down Gauteng's highways in protest against e-tolling and labor brokers.
· The first protest will take place on Friday, May 24 in the Johannesburg area, affecting the M1, N1, N12 and M2 highways.
· The second is scheduled for Friday, May 31 in the Ekurhuleni area and will take place on the N3, N12 and R21.
· Their intention is to shut down the freeways on these dates.
· Specific routes and times are not available at this stage and will be communicated once available.
Possible impact and precautions:
· There could be traffic disruptions in and around the area because of road closures and staff are urged to avoid the areas.
· The CMCC will be monitoring the situation closely and provide further updates when the routes and times become available.
