Hi Guys/Dolls,
Take note of the new laser trap device that the Metro are using.
They have been training their officers for the last few weeks and I see its in use this week!
Its a portable unit that stands on a tripod and does not use a flash.
On the N1 towards Pretoria they sit on the left side 1km away from the New Road onramp blocked by the metal pillars that support the Olifanstfontain offramp board.
On the N1 towards Johannesburg about 1km after the New road bridge/onramp.
On the N3 towards Beccluech interchange, 2km before at the SANRAL monument(gantry).
Note that they no longer use a flash so be aware of this and they now sit on the left.
I know its difficult but its best if we keep to the speed limit reducing the amount paid in speeding fines, then perhaps Metro will concentrate on serious crime and not target the taxpayers for petty speeding.
Drive safe and have a blessed long weekend!
