So the new cars paint was not in the greatest condition, swirl city but the most annoying part for me at this point was the yellow tinge to the paintwork, after a test section on the bonnet I realized just how discolored it was.
The challenge: 5 hour time limit (time is an scarce commodity with a 4 month old in the house)
-Started off with some foam and APC mix
-Washed using 2BM
-Dried with waffle weave towel
-Clayed horizontal surfaces with Sonax clay bar
-Taped off rubber and badges
-Test spot - LC Orange pad and Menzerna PF2500, was happy with the results so used this combo around the vehicle.
-Wiped clean with IPA
-Sealed with Optimum Opti-Seal
-For good measure a little coat of Petes 53 (the best smelling product I have used to date.
Always enjoy spending some time with the car, had to leave a few areas (interior, wheels etc) as mentioned the aim was to minimize swirls and brighten the paint.
Please note I am by no means a professional
Some pics below, sorry being under time constraints pics are limited.
