While I was doing the VANOS I "decided" to do the hose as well. (It was so brittle it broke in half).

Part was R300.00 (with 10%) discount from dealers.

Old hose.

Remove the two bolts so you can move the power steering resevoir out of your way for better access.

This unit is held on by a rubber mount. Simply remove the plug and then pull the unit towards you and it will come off.

No you will have to use the 'force' and might not be able to do this f you have very large hands. Feel around for the other end of the hose. Space is so tight you wont be able to put both fingers on either side of the hose clip to get it off. What I did is press the hose upwards against what ever was next to it so the top would compress the one side of the clip and my finger the other. DONT YANK IT OFF AS HARD AS YOU CAN as you may damage the breather unit and then you need to replace the entire thing. Pic of location.

'Simply' thread the new hose into the same path you removed the old one and press it in till you hear a click.

New hose in ready for the Valve Cover.
