Estate Agent Advertising Board / Correx Board

$

Hi All

Anyone know where I can have an estate agent type advertising / correx board made? I'm trying to rent out an apartment I have in Houghton and wanted to put one up in front of my complex. Nothing fancy, just a sign saying it's available for rent and the contact number. Something that would stand up against the elements should it start raining again soon.

Appreciate any help!

A bit of background first.

I first met Oscar some 7 years ago when he allowed me to make use of his facilities at Forza to have my front suspension measured by POWERBRAKE so that they could make radial arm brackets for my calipers.

A thoroughly good chap as well as customer centric.

His car came in for the usual vanos and clearances and here are a few pics.

The car is definitely one of the quickest cars I have driven although a bit loud.
Getting my big fat Greek ass into those girly seats was equally a challenge....Oscar I hope I have not stretched the seat Bluebiggrin

A brief history...

I've been very fortunate to be involved in the motor game for the last 15 years. From my early days of modifying my first golf mk2 to starting my racing career in SUPERHATCH, to my first job as a spanner boy at Zwartkops, to 5 years as an advanced driving instructor for Audi, BMW, MERC, to starting and running FORZA racing, to service manager at Viglietti Motors and now my final resting place as service manager at ZAMBESI Auto BMW.

I've been blessed to have owned/modified/built MANY special cars including a CSL, 2x EVO 9, turbo birkin 7 and now finally my track day toy Z4M just mention a few, there was even an Alfa GT JUNIOUR 1750 in there...

On this journey I've met many people in both the OE and the aftermarket game. I can say with confidence that there are many characters out there that talk the talk BUT there is only a VERY LIMITED few that can say they WALK THE WALK.

Uncle Peter is most DEFINATELY one of only a very select few in SA in the aftermarket that I can honestly say I would trust with my pride and joy.

His knowledge, professionalism and PASSION is second to none!!!

This isn't a "blow smoke" up his GREEK ASS session but rather a genuine heart filled THANK YOU for a really impressive job on my car. I must admitt I wasn't convinced that there was that much to be improved on as my car was strong all be it a nice flat spot at 3k rpm however since the VANOS WHISPERER fettled with my car it is another story all together.

Improvements:
Car starts easier
Valve train is dead quite, sounds like he swopped the shims for hydraulic lifters
Less throttle required to pull away
No more flat spot at 3k
Huge improvement on throttle response below 4k rpm
Huge improvement at 4k rpm torque
Car pulls to 8k rpm like a freight train

I know it's expensive but I can confidently say its worth every cent...

And I have NO doubt the dyno is gonna show just how much better the engine is performing!!!

Thank you uncle Peter AKA a1exander

Ps: hope I can post this here?

BMW E46 320d Buying Advice Needed

Hi Guys,

So after driving through the most part of JHB today, I have found a 2002/3 320d at Right Cars in Northriding that I am interested in. It is white in color and has 205000km on the clock with a full service history. The previous one owner actually kept servicing it at BMW even after the motorplan had expired. The car is really immaculate and I couldnt believe how clean and neat it is on the inside. There arent really any major problems so I need to ask:

What should I look for on this car?
Are there any telltale signs of potential problems to come?
The car pulls well, didnt feel any turbo lag. Didnt hear any turbo whistling. There are no funny rattles, it doesn't smoke. Problem is they want R65000 for it but my budget is set at R60000.

Do you guys think I should offer R60,000 cash? I mean this car just looks so good Inlove.

Here is the link: http://www.rightcars.co.za/viewVehiclePo...VID=828801

P.S. I felt so at home behind the wheelCry

The only other option is a 2003 Mercedes C180k with 160k km and an SRS warning light with two malfunctionsYuckThumbdownArgh

Hi all, newbie here.

Just bought an e36 320i automatic, the price was so low it will make you cry.Cry The lady i bought it from has moved to USA 2 years prior and just wanted to get rid of it. When I saw the car it was love at first sight. For a car that was standing under a tree for 2 years it is in very good shape. We took it to the local Bimmer Shop and the guys were all stoked, they got her running in less than a day and she sounds great - std exhaust but that will change.Thumbs

She is a bit dirty in the picture but she is a looker.
I then went is search of a new set of feet, but man are they expensive here in Nam 6K just for the rims and then it would be aftermarket. Drove around looking for something then decided to go the the salvage yard to look for some spares, and lo and behold a set of 17" laying around for about 5 years now, paid 1.8K for all four. :D

Diagnostics Reader Zasttra software/hardware?

Hallo all,
E
I see that there is a number of diagnostics readers available from Zasttra for different vehicles such as BMW, VW, Opel and Alfa

My question here is, are the plugs the same or does the software and hardware differ? What do you guys think, it looks to me as if the plugs are one and the same thing, with only different software?

Thanks in advance for your input and opinions on this subject.

330d injector flop

Hello fellow beemer lovers, recently had a recon on the turbo. what i did is i removed the tapped cover as well and the injector nozzles to gain space, after assembling everything, cranked the motor until oil came from the oil pipe going to the turbo. That is after replacing oil and all the filter, then started the vehicle which iddled smooth for the first 5 minutes then it went off on its own.restarted again but this time it had a rough iddle and misfiring.Removed the injector nozzle plugs one by one to identify which one could be struggling.I did not get a change of sound on unplugging. So my issue is that the injectors were operating properly prior to DIY on the vehicle. Please advise on what could be the problem. 330d e46 2002. 0848389389 whatsapp can be efficient as well.

Electricity bill shock

Did anyone else have a unusually high electricity bill for July/August? Mine went from R382 in June, R886 in July and R1792 in August Icon_jaw

I have a gas stove and use a gas heater (spent +/-R1k between 15/07 and 15/08). How the heck is it possible for a household of 2 to use that much electricity? My parents also got billed more than double their average and so did a friend I just spoke to.
