Hi guys, I'm Axton,I'm new to this forum so exuse me for my manners :P . I live in Vanderbijlpark and i just got my bmw 330i auto e46 2003. Inpa help - error code #95

Howzit all

i am am i wits end...i have reinstalled inpa about 4 times and followed the installs settings to the T.i have windows8 nad get inpa to bootup...i seem to think the cable is working as well because when i load inpa without cable it shows battery and ignition off..(white cricles) and when its plugged in car it shows battery and ignition ( 2 black circles)

status shows runningon interface but as soon as i go into E46 and start slecting chassis / engine etc. it come swith system error...

it brings up below

Ediabias error
ApiResulttext: error #95
Sys-0005: object file not found
Api job error or no such result
Continue script processing?

Another error as well: Variant checking
Requested control unit :MS430DS0 not found.
control unit not found
program will be stopped

i think its a software twek i need to make as the cable does read - ' think'

bought the D Can - inpa cable from them.

Any help or pointers would be appreciated

Found this....

1.8 EDIABAS error: Error (95) SYS-0005: OBJECT FILE NOT FOUND
Reason 1: No SGBD in C:\EDIABAS\ECU
Solution 1: Copy the SGBD into the Ecu directory.
Reason 2: No group file in C:\EDIABAS\ECU (for group call)
Solution 2: Copy the group file to C:\EDIABAS\ECU
Reason 3: No path definition C:\EDIABAS\BIN
Solution 3: Set the system variable (see 2.1)
Reason 4: Incorrect path definition in EDIABAS.INI
Solution 4: Set the EcuPath path in Ediabas.ini to C:\EDIABAS\ECU
Reason 5: The SGBD name contains reserved characters or is too long. Only 8 characters
are allowed (a-z, A-Z, 0-9, "_").

anyone know what is SGBD? where is the group file?

Driving with patient

Guys, what are the legal implications when driving with a patient that urgently needs to get to a hospital (heart attack/snake bite/choking case, etc). Are you allowed to go through red lights if it is safe to do so, pass on the left, do 120 in 60 zone, etc?

So I purchased two vehicles...120i and E46 318i Touring and loving the Driving experience.
Since its my first BMW`s I have alot of questions and I hope the guys here can help.

Hi Guys,

I need a couple photographers for an event we are busy finalizing.

The event is set for the 11 October at a BMW Dealership. I want to give all photographers a chance with this one. Divio is keen and he will be there (As far as we last spoke).

I know we have some great photographers here, lets all get together and share idea's. The Venue is sorted, the date is sorted. The time, 2pm to 5pm.

Dealership Stealing Money

I bought a Peugeot 308 GTI in March (serves me right, i know...) but at the time it was the safest well specced car I could afford for the Mrs. On the 17th of March I requested a special settlement on the vehicle I was trading from wesbank from where I signed OTP with the updated settlement amount reflecting with the dealership. Then on the 20th the dealer informed me, the settlement will expire before they can settle can I please request an extension. So I got an extension till the 26th. Then on the 26th, after taking delivery and signing contract etc etc on the 21st, the dealer contacted me again asking for another extension on the special settlement as they again didnt settle my car. Wesbank only gave an additional 2days extension as the installment was due and they couldnt quote a longer extension without the installment going off.

So I thought that was the end...

Then on the 1st of April, my installment went down... I reversed the debit order as my car has been sold from the day I signed contract and non of my requested settlement letters indicated that I will be paying the installment. I actually made sure it happened this way as the installment was paying for the transportation of the vehicle...

Then, about a month ago, Wesbank phones me and said I owe them 1 installment. I was like GTFO! Speak to the dealer... they however remained that the transaction was between me and the dealer and either me or the dealer needs to pay the outstanding amount.

Turns out, the dealer requested a new settlement on the 31st of March that INCLUDED the installment. The didnt inform me, i didnt agree to this and I didnt sign anything. As far as I am concerned, the dealer changed the conditions under which the transaction was to take place without informing. Now wesbank is looking at me for the money.

I have in the meantime asked Wesbank to listen to the recordings where I asked for the special settlement and where I explicitly asked for the installment to be excluded. They also informed me, that the dealer requested the settlement online on the 31st. Wesbank has admitted that they agree the dealership is liable...

I have informed Peugeot SA and they are investigating. The dealer reckons because the last settlement letter was only for 2 days (26 to 28 March - which was the 3rd extension) they couldnt pay as there wasnt enough time to process the payment. They reckon I am liable for the installment.

Are there any honest dealers out there? OMG! Wesbank wants to start legal action to recover the money from me...ArghArgh

Dealer is just checking stock for me and once I have it, the part would need to be collected in Paulshof, or I can meet you somewhere to transport it to Pretoria

Aircon flap

Hi guys, I just opened the underside of my driverside in my bmw e46 to see the details of my final heater resistor, because it needs to be replaced,but as soon as I got it out I saw that the servo motor that opens a aircon flap, is broken off. If someone can please inform me what flap it is,i would be greatfull because I want to know if it can wait,where I adjust it into a position manualy, or should I get a replacement for it.

320d E46 Boost / Vibration

Hi all..
New to the forum and jumping in with a question.. Hoping I can get a solution to a problem Im battling to solve.

Bought a E46 320d 3 months back.
Car is really in good condition and was lady-owned.
Just had an issue with the clutch, bought complete Luke kit from GW.

Car ran fine for 3000 km.

One day on the freeway, car looses boost completely.
Thought it could be vacuum related. After a minute or so, boost came back.
Made a few calls and was told to inspect all vacuum lines. Did so, all looked fairly new.
Then decided to blank off EGR.
Did so, but when I took the car for a drive, very strange thing happened.
As the boost comes in, (poor performance), the engine went into a vibration. This was not drive train related vibration, definitely engine related. The engine will shake and vibrate even when idling.
Ive switched the car off and started it again, and it idled fine.
Again when boost came in, same thing happened.
Turbo was making a whistling noise, nothing serious, but I decided to take it off and inspect the internals.

Upon taking the suction pipe off, oil was dripping out and it looked as if the seals has failed.
Didn't find any visual indications related to wear etc..

Send turbo in to Stallions in PTA.
Was told the comp wheel did in fact touch the housing and decided to replace the core.

I thought that the vibration which I have felt was the comp vane rubbing and disturbing the flow..

Got the turbo back, fitted it and went for a drive.
Whistling sound was gone, but same thing happened, strange engine vibration on boost.

Took injectors out, and send it to Bosch Service Centre for a test.
(Mechanical injectors)..

All four tested good.

Considered the CAT to be blogged, removed it and still having the same problem.

Sorry for the long story, just giving all the info I can.

Any ideas please?

Hi guys,
