Howzit,

I replaced my non-oem 19's with a set of OEM 18" 385. 40 profile in front and 45 at the rear. the odd bit is rubbing, only on left rear, on harsh bumps!

any idea what could cause this? the tyre does bulge a bit out of the arch, oddly enough.

Hi Guys,

Been a while since I posted a thread, so here goes...

Bought the car two months ago, the previous owner maintained the car mechanically, but seemingly never washed it (or when they did, it was washed badly) There was grime and dirt everywhere, and the paint looked like someone wet sanded and forgot to polish

Now the car has since been cleaned up, but i haven't had a chance to correct the pain properly until a few weekends ago, so this isn't the usual full detail thread, just paint correction.

Products:

Paint:
Washed with AF Lather
Clayed with AF fine grade clay bar and carways lube
Polished with Scholl S3 and refined with S17(the damage was that bad)
Scholl concepts pads
Wiped down with IPA diluted 1:3
Coated with Gyeon Quartz

Am thinking of decatting my 2008 E90 330d pre LCI auto. What possible negatives are there. What becomes of the sensors fitted to the cat? Should they be transplanted to the new down pipe? Will the car be running richer/leaner after removal or no different than before. Advice will be much appreciated as well as possible exhaust fitment centres in the Cape Town/suburbs area. Thanks in advance!

Hi All,

2005 E90 320D M47 Engine

I haven't posted on thid forum for a long time as my E90 has been trouble free. Until now.
I had a diagnostic done and the actuator on the turbo has failed.

Does anybody know where I can have the turbo fixed, exchanged or buy a new one.

I have contacted a place and they say they have a unit in stock. Is it worth buying this turbo or am I just going to waist my money. Price given on service exchange is R7200.

Has anybody had dealings with Turbofix in Nigel?

I will appreciate any advise.

Howsit guys.

I havnt seen this thread on the forum so here goes...

Have just ordered my M performance box from the dealer, and looking to also get the Afe intake.

Im planning to remove it and replace with stock when my car goes in for a service but the question is, CAN BMW PICK UP THAT I'VE CHANGED THE INTAKE? (Obviously still under motorplan)

The reason Im worried is because the MAF sensor is plugged in somewhere and different values will be sent to the Comp box surely?

Anyway, constructive responses appreciated

Hey Guys

My name is Jiten and I drive a 2006 E90 323i MSport BMW

I have a Few Questions that I would like answered and hopefully the experts can provide some insight as I am not mechanically inclined in any way:

- From what you guys have noticed, what is the Longevity of the E90 323? I am going on 200k km and the car still seems to be running strong. Anything that I need to look out for as it is off motor plan.
I recently had my spark plugs changed and service done.

- secondly I have a BMW 740i 1996 model parked off in my yard and I am deciding on one of 3 options for it.
Option 1: Sell it. (what price do I ask for?)
Option 2: Sell it for scrap metal
Option 3 : spend some money and pimp out. (but what costs am I looking at?)

Hi guys

My wife just managed to put R500 worth of LRP petrol (red petrol) in her 2011 Hyundai I30 1.6.

Will this do any harm to the car? I'm quite nervous about it now, but a mechanic just told me that nothing will happen. Is this true?

Hi GUYS,

I have a 320i e46. It's just been for an inspection and since then I've noticed a noise coming from the passenger side. It sounds like a swooshing/blowing noise. I notice that if I switch the car off and on a again it goes away and will start again when I accelerate. However once the sounds starts it doesn't stop until I switch the car off. The funny thing is I don't hear the noise outside the car or even when I open the bonnet. Any ideas?

Hi guys! For those that have gone the JB route or other products, has anyone experienced any troubles afterwards like detonation or backfire or popped coils etc?

I've previously had a mk6gti, went the k04 route and eventually had so many issues that i sold the car!

The prices at JSN is a big NO NO, So considering a more wallet friendly approach

I've got a stock '13 M135i, looking at sw only at this stage ...

Any advice would be appreciated

Hi Guys

My name is Aveshan. I am from Durban and currently drive a 2004 E46 M3.

I have seen some of the cool events held by bmwfanatics and have been told by friends to join the forum.

I have a few questions that I would like answered and hopefully someone can provide some insight:

My car is currently stock I would like to put an AC Schnitzer exhaust system on it does anyone know where I could take my car to have the exhaust fitted in Durban and the if possible an estimate of the cost ?

Would the car become very heavy on fuel with the exhaust system fitted?

I am looking for an exhaust that sounds like the AC Schnitzer exhaust but has the seperate 4 tail pieces and does not have the joined tail piece like the AC Schnitzer exhaust. Any recommendations ?
