Wheel Spacers
What is the max width wheel spacer on a E90 BMW, 18inch rim?
The front rim to the fender is roughly 17mm difference to the std RIMS (more in) and the rear roughly 21mm more in than the std rim.
OK, found some info. Seems you can go as high as 20mm spacers with extended bolts.
Question now is where in JHB can I get these items?

Just a quick question, at what rpm's is it best to launch a cooper s? and while when best to shift from 1st to 2nd to 3rd (getting the best traction).

What rim is this
I recently bought a e46 320d, the car has this rim on it, for the love of me i have never seen this rim , is it a bmw rim or a fake. It is a 17 inch rim. is it worth anything? secondhand offcourse! ![Fencelook]( "Fencelook")

Hi guys ,
I joined the forum in hope that I could find some info on a BMW X3 and its pros and cons .
I am looking at a X3 2005 model with 176000 km on the clock with fsh, no transfer noise and turbo has just been done .
Body is immaculate with all panels lining up perfect , interior is just as good with the only noticible wear is on the driver door handle .
I really like the car but am nervous of buying something that might cost alot to fix and maintain in the long run .
Any advice would be highly appreciated

Steering wheel re-cover?
Hey gents and gentle woman...
I'm keen to get my wheel "re-covered" on my 330i if that's what you call it.
Previous owner let it crack and dry out terribly and after 2 years I cant take it any more![Rofl]( "Rofl")

avgas
hey guys.
I have been toying with the idea of trying some avgas. (Grade 100LL - blue) - basically like 100 octane.

Now I have talked to a few okes about this and everyone tells me it is 100% safe as long as I do not have a catalytic converter, which I don't. I also know a person running avgas in their older cars for years now and they do not have any problems....these old cars also has softer valves etc. apparently? thus the lead in the fuel has something to do to protect the engine internals?
Can someone maybe shed some light?
