Toyo Proxes T1 Sport

So the Proxes T1 Sport has been on the market a while now. Can anyone shed some light on experience with these. I've read most of the reviews on here about these tires but most of them are rather old. They arent much cheaper than the bridgestone adrenaline or RE050's but they are kicking @ss in international reviews.

Any local feedback appreciated!

Massive Fuel Price Drop

The South African petrol price could be set for a sizable cut next in September, after data by the Central Energy Fund (CEF) showed a current over-recovery of almost 70c for 95 octane fuel.

On Monday (25 August), the CEF noted that lower international product prices – coupled with the slight weakening of the rand against the dollar – pointed an over recovery of 68.3 cents per litre of petrol.

Provided international prices and the current rand/dollar exchange remains stable over the next week, this means petrol prices could see its biggest drop in some time.

Lower octane fuel (93 ULP) has an over recovery of 62.7 cents, while diesel has an over-recovery of 19.7 cents and 19.9 cents for 0.05% and 0.005% grade, respectively.

Illuminating paraffin has an over-recovery of 18.1 cents.

Earlier in August, the Department of Energy left the price of retail petrol unchanged at R14.33

The restaurant chain, which began in a small restaurant in Rosettenville back in 1987, asks “ever wondered what would happen if four blue light brigades met at an intersection? Nando’s can tell you!”

Jeremy Maggs – South African journalist, radio host and television presenter – tweeted after watching it “first look at a new controversy – new Nando’s TVC Blue Light Brigade – I can feel the fallout coming – works for me.”

Nando’s have invited their fans to send feedback on their facebook page, but so far (it’s been less than 40 minutes since they launched it) there have only been five comments – “*Brigade”, “Lol, just saw it, Good one!”, “Oh my hat, I don’t even think I understood what you just all said. I think I am technologically challenged…hehehehe”, “Best” and someone posted an old Nando’s ad!

Nando’s are as famous for their controversial commercials as for their Peri-Peri chicken which is now sold all over the world!

Cheap V8's

Just for the hell of it.

Let's say I was looking for that V8 sound and I wanted to buy something 2nd hand for around R250,000 to drive around every day.

The obvious choices are an old Audi S4, Merc E500 and obviously BMW 550, but what else?

There are other options like Jags and SRTs.

What would you do if you wanted a daily V8?

Radiator Bleeding issues

Hi Guys. Can someone plz help me with the procedure for bleeding my radiator. I had a new radiator and upper hose fitted. I don't think the guys bled the system correctly. The upper hose gets very hot and the lower hose stays cold. BMW 320i 2007. E90 Steptronic. Thanks.

New Car 135i!!!

Hi everyone, after a long wait I finally got my car. This is my first car, and am very grateful for it!
It's a 135i 2013 N55, DCT. Wow. I am over the moon with it, although it is more tail happy than I thought it would be.

I'm so glad to finally be apart of this community and am very keen to meet everyone and join in on the meets etc!

E90 Brake Squeek

hi Guys, so after recently replacing my front brake pads on my E90, i notice they squeak when applying brakes gently. its a very nasty squeak that just doesn't want to go away. strange thing is, it only happens after driving a few km's.

On cold start driving there is no squeak at all when braking

any idea whats causing this?

E36 3.0 M3 Preventative Maintenance

Afternoon Chaps.

I am back from Joburg with my new purchase 1994 E36 M3 (one of the first 50 "lightweights" like Calypso's) BTW I weighed her and she comes in at 1420 (thats still with spare wheel in ) not sure how that matches up to the normal e36 M3. Anyway weight saving is gone when I get in Yuck

She is in far far better condition than I had hoped, interior seats are all unmarked and oh how I love that steering wheel, and bar a small scare in Jozie with a fuel like, mechanically she seems fine to.

I will put up popper photos once she has been detailed.

She drove down from Joburg faultlessly and fuel economy was staggering 1l /1600km (oh wait she was on the back of a train ) RollsmileRollsmile

OK So simple question, every thing is running 100 percent bar a bit of exhaust rattle, I put her through her paces today and she held up very well.

So, I have up to R20k to spend on preventative maintenance. Can you experts tell me a list of what I should possibly do ??

She will stay stock, and I intend to make her look like the day she rolled out....
