Hi guys

I recently got the following SMS from the traffic department and was wondering if an SMS can be considered a received fine.

"Notice posted for Cape Town traffic fine A8...... on ID.... View and pay R200 at Traffic Dept or Paycity.co.za or pay via FNB, ABSA or STD Bank. Legal process will continue even if vehicle registration address is not correct-You may not receive the fine-Next step Summons to appear in court"

Can they now do this even if I haven't received the fine with a registered letter?

Hey guys,

My Matric Dance is coming up soon (3rd October) and was just wondering if any fanatics would be interested in Chauffeuring me and my partner? The dance is going to be held at Thaba Ya Batswana and starts at 18:30 and ends at 24:00. Would be ideal for a Fanatic situated in the South such as Meyersdal and/or surrounding areas.

hi all

i have decided to start doing DIY work on my E46 and want to know what are the most common tools used to work on it...

Please can you add to this thread for basics needed. I have a few tools but they are nothing great and would like to invest in some quality stuff...

off the top of my head:

socket and spanner set
screwdrivers (flat and star)
mallet
trolley jack
jack stands

Hi Guys,

I am having an issue with connecting to wifi on my Samsung S3.

It get stuck on obtaining Ip Address and does not connect.
Currently there is about 5 devices connected with no issues.
The S3 usedd to connect fine until it went into vodacom for a repair and they upgraded the firmware.
The same phone can connect to other wifi hotspots with no isues.

I have tried the *#0011# secret menu and swicthed off the power save mode. I tried resetting to default, removing bat and so on.

If i play around with the flight mode it connects sometimes and switchs off again.

I checked and the max sessions on the router is set to 16. so its not that.
I reset the router to default and did the setup again. No Fix.

Reading shows alot of similar issues with work arounds but it never works.

What can the issue be? i am going insane tring to get it to connect.

Which program can activate certain functions on an E90 BMW? e.g. siren beep when alarm is enabled.

Windows and sunroof close when rain sensor gets rain on it??? and the many that I do not even know about????

Hi Guys do any one have a radio that will fits the BMW X3 2005 E83. I am looking for a later model radio 2006 up with an auxiliary input. I did try to source a OEM radio but I cant find a trimming plate that will fit the x 3. Thanks

Hi everyone. Registered a while ago and thought it was time I introduced myself. Names Rakesh and I love cars and currently a slave at a audit firm. My current ride is a 140i Runx, hope to be in a bmw or gti by the end of this year. Luck has not been on my side when it comes to buying a bmw. Other cars in family are my brothers polo and dad's camry. Hope to learn a lot and meet some awesome people.

Hi guys,

i picked up my 2006 E90 320i from the mechanic today after changing every suspension bush to polyurethane and installing brand new shocks all round.
to my amazement the car is very very high with about 100mm between the rear tyres and arch. front is about 80mm.

also, what worries me more is that the ride is absolutely bumpy. i feel every little bump on the road even at 50km/h. at speeds of about 100km/h i am literally lifted off my seat.

the new shocks are a Gabriel direct equivalent to the stock shocks. the springs are the original ones. all the poly bushes have a hardness of about 80ShA

please can some experienced fanatic shed some light on what can be done to correct this. i am not sure where to even start looking.

When we saw this video of a Lamborghini Gallardo Tricolore getting beaten by a VW Golf R, we had to find out more. As it turns out, the Golf has received a very special tuning package from German firm HGP, which involves transplanting a 3.6-litre VR6 engine from a Passat R36 into a Mk6 Golf. It's no ordinary VR6, either, it's treated to a gigantic list of modifications including a twin-turbocharger setup.

Hi there to all.
My 320d 2008 doors doesnt lock anymore when I reach 30km/h. Can someone please advice where to start looking for the problem?. Its not realy a problem since I can still lock them from the dashboard.

Hi, i have a problem with the glass sunroof of my car in that it will tilt but not up to maximum. Goes about 70% and then stops. Have tried to reset it by keeping the button in for a while but am not sure if that is the procedure. Any one with experience please help! Thanks.

I've had a full respray, rear arches pulled and rolled, style 95's off a 7 series, m5 replica exhaust and just recently fitted airlift with v2 management got a lot more plans in the pipeline for it

In the last couple of weeks the tyre pressure monitor would trigger without actually having a flat, and then the dreaded "4X4 and ASC Inactive" on the LCD display, plus the ABS, ASC and brake lights were on. First thing that I suspected was the servo motor, but luckily this was not the case. I plugged the diags in and got several wheel speed sensor errors. And for good reason. They are filthy.


These are the two at the back. The two in the front wasn't in much better condition. I cleaned the front two last week and the "4X4 and ASC Inactive" disappeared, but the tyre pressure monitor still triggers, so I cleaned the ones in the back as well.


Now I just need to take it for a drive on the highway. Funny that it only triggers at highway speeds. But I am pretty sure this problem will be sorted.
